It was awesome for me to be part of the First National Puerto Rico Bloggers Convention, organize by fellow #Twitterican @josehernandepr, I made tons of connections, and put the #Twittericans name on the map. @punkylady and @ramcosca did a excellent job tweeting what was going on, and what the Keynote’s where all about, I was event mention on a Keynote by @rafitorres. I also had tons of fun, filming with @mj16 a new tech show for FiumTV, “Propulsion” a join production of Twittericans.net and Fium.tv. Now here comes the fun part, the pictures:

On Saturday, March 28, 2009, @missreported wanted to do a last minute Twittericans Tweetup, and we decided that we wanted to go to Solid Rock (Rock Climbing facility) in Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico. Since It was a last minute Twittericans Tweetup, only few Twittericans showed up, as usually @punkylady showed up, and also @araziel20, but we did get to add a n00b to the Twittericans Tweetup experience, enter @nopatria, he was the n00b, awesome and fun guy. The funny this about this Twittericans Tweetup is that the person who had the idea for the last minute Twittericans mini-Tweetup never showed, hence @missreported.

Saturday, March 21, 2009, EPIC Twittericans Tweetup in Barranquitas, Vaca Brava Rest. first off we got lost, 15 minutes before arriving the restaurant, we followed @miguelrios Hato Rey route to Vaca Brava Rest. but since the Google Maps are almost 4 years old, some roads weren’t found on the iPhone 3G GPS. Twittericans Tweetup n00b were @miguelrios (local from Barranquitas), @velvetyink and @RicanLeStat.

Friday, February 20, 2009. The official second Twittericans Tweetup, in my book it was the 3rd Tweetup, location Levittown, Puerto Rico, @glambaby House. Organize by @glambaby, @ramcosca and myself @Rmediavilla. The organizers of the Tweetup where the first to get there, for the first time, a bunch of Tweetup n00bs where introduce to the Twitterican community. @araziel20, @littlibrat, @luiscrz, @mj16, @el_picardo, @natis, and @vanessaenid where the Tweetup newbs. We sang, we dance, we played Rock Band, and I got to sing “Still Alive” by JoCo. The food was great, the hostess family was awesome, I still remember what @glambaby father told me when I first arrive, “In this house there only one rule, that there are no rules”. The original plan was that a small group of Twittericans wanted to go to the movies, we did, and we watch the now 8 time’s Oscar’s winning movie “Slumdog Millionaire”, but once we got out of the movie thats when this mini-tweetup blew up, a bunch of Twittericans waiting for us outside. Then we moved to Faccio Pizza, and there even more Twittericans joined us. The Tweetup n00bs where @missreported, @abe238, @natis and @vanessaenid. This one started at Starbucks Paseos Mini Mall, walking distance from where I live, and ended up in my house playing LittleBigPlanet on my Sony PS3, the Mini TweetUp feature the likes of @rafamejia, @punkylady, @ramcosca, @magcast, @izqrdo (briefly), @The_PHP_Jedi (online via Sony PS3 and LittleBigPlanet) and of course me @Rmediavilla.

After the big Twittericans Tweetup, another series of mini Twittericans Tweetups happen, starting with a Twittericans Mini Tweetup, in Puerto Rico’s capital the old San Juan, where Twittericans that couldn’t made the big Tweetup, made the mini one, like @gerryc and @rafamejia from New York.

After the Tweetup kinda ended, the Twittericans that stayed behind decided to go to a local bar/club “Double 6+” Villa Blanca, Puerto Rico, to continue the fun. We continue to talk about tech, that’s what geeks do, and we also drank some beer.

November 15, 2008, Plaza Centro, Caguas, Puerto Rico. After two weeks and a half of intense organizing and gathering up the troops, the first Puerto Rican Twitter User’s Meet-up finally happen. Therefor we know call us Twittericans.

Me @Rmediavilla behind doing all the organizing with a little help from @Afreytes, we had about 15 to 18 Puerto Rican Twitter users confirm that they will attend the Meet-up. At that time I felt the group was a nice amount to start a meet-up. Must of us have never meet in person before, so I knew right from the beginning it will be an amazing experience. Everyone was excited and pumped for this history event, a gathering of all of these different Puerto Rican Twitter minds.

The day began, and the Puerto Rican’s on Twitter where all talking about the Meet-up, this thing became the talk of the night, Tweet coming and going about Puerto Rican Tweeting of where they are, Tweet: I’m stuck on traffic, Tweet: I got here first, I’m in-front of Basking Robins, Tweet: I’m running late but will be there soon. When I finally got there much to my surprise the turn out surpass the expected, in the end 27 Puerto Rican Twitter users turn up for the Meet-up, I mean it took about 6 tables to sit all of us together.

Me begin the organizer of this event, I took it upon myself to go up to everyone of the Puerto Rican Twitter users and with my trusty Flip Video Ultra in hand I conducted want everyone there call a “In your face” Interview, I have the videos on YouTube, they introduce them self, Twitter handle, real name, work or student, etc, etc, the usual stuff. Since the Tweetup was in a local mall Food Court, most of us got something to eat, I did well because I was hungry, We talk about everything, including Tech, duh, we talk about the economy, and about the places we work at, about what new gadgets to buy, we talk about Apple and the iPhone, and we also talk about @Katsushiro Asus EEE PC.

By now you have seen the Twittericans logo/sticker far to many times, we have @jmonterrey to thank for that, he made a bunch of Twittericans stickers for me to give out, I got one in front on my Black Intel MacBook. The most interesting thing of this gathering of Puerto Rican Twitter minds, what the simple fact that we never stop Twittering, even when the person you where Twittering was right beside you. @Arhkangel made it a habit to Qik everything also, so he Qik and Tweet at the same time.

I had fun, the meet-up was a blast, I felt proud my little event, I loved meeting all of my fellow Puerto Rican Twitter users, but it didn’t end there, like @ramcosca t-shirt says “eat, sleep, Tweet”.
